I CAN COOK!

And I know many of you refuse to believe that because I appear to be such a bimbo who’s lazy and only cares about superficial things, BUT!

I CAN COOK!

And this blog post will illustrate to you what I usually do at home when I am bored and coincidentally there happens to be alot of ingredients to cook at home!

Tee-hee!

I randomly found a new pack of angel hair pasta on the dining table and so I decided, COOKING TIME!!!!!

And I whipped out a super awesome home-made spur-of-the-moment pasta sauce!

Like Chef Michael says, My secret recipe? Cooking, WITHOUT a recipe! Open-mouthed smileOpen-mouthed smileOpen-mouthed smileOpen-mouthed smileOpen-mouthed smile

So here are the things I found in my house that day:

24042011849

Prawns.

24042011847

Chicken luncheon meat.

24042011848

Angel hair pasta, my favourite!

24042011850

And the basic ingredients for all kinds of food: onions and garlic.

24042011876

Chicken stock, which I use to cook EVERYTHING.

24042011874

And chilli sauce because I don’t have tomato sauce or tomato puree or tinned tomatoes. lol

24042011851

First thing you gotta do, chop the onions and garlic into tiny pieces.

24042011852

Chop the rest of the ingredients into tiny pieces too.

You can see that I have also chopped some cabbages, just to give my pasta some veggie so I don’t feel so bad about myself and also to add sweetness and abit of crunch, an egg to thicken the sauce and also I left two prawns whole because I wanted my pasta to have at least a passable presentation before I eat it.

Omg when did I become such an anal home cook I watch too much AFC!!!!!!

24042011853

Now, add some oil into your pan and sauté the onions and garlic until they are golden brown and when your whole kitchen and hair smells like onion and garlic. lol

24042011854

Then add in the cabbage, prawns and luncheon meat.

24042011856

After that, add chili sauce and chicken stock in any amount you like as long as it tastes good and season the sauce yourself to your liking.

For mine, I added a tiny bit of sugar and a bit of MSG. OH! I also added some oyster sauce!!!

Then, I added some butter/margarine into the sauce so that it would be more creamy and fragrant. Open-mouthed smile

24042011858

Lastly, beat the egg and add it into the sauce.

24042011859

Leave the egg alone!! DO NOT STIR!!!

Leave it about 15 seconds before you start stirring or it would make your sauce TOO THICK and you won’t get that lovely chunks of eggs in your sauce!

AND YOU’RE DONE!

Time for your pasta!

24042011855

Boil a pot of water and add a generous amount of salt into it to flavour your pasta.

Remember to put at least one table spoon of salt and not just a pinch because a pinch doesn’t make any difference to the taste!

24042011875

I learnt this from Secret Meat Business and the chef said that adding butter or margarine to anything will make the food taste better so I tried and put abit of margarine into my boiling water before I added my pasta in!

24042011857

IT WAS AWESOMEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!! I don’t know how to explain the difference but really, it made my pasta so like, delicious to bite into!

And then add the sauce to the pasta and DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

24042011864

DOES THAT LOOK DELICIOUS OR WHAT OMG I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!!!!!

24042011866

Now for the TASTE! Omnomnom

(REMEMBER TO LEAVE SOME FOR YOUR MUM!)

24042011873

Mum says it’s good! YESHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

24042011878

PROOF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

24042011877

And after that, even though I know it is very tempting, don’t just lay around watching TV rubbing your big belly, WASH THE DISHES CLEAN FIRST!

And then you can relax. lol

I hope you learnt something today!

BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
