I DYED MY HAIR!

As most of you know, I have finished my STPM!

And that means I have finally finished my school life and so right now I am finally free to dye my hair to any colour I want!!!

I actually wanted to dye my hair right before Chinese New Year because then I’d be super gorgeous for CNY and that also gives me time to save some money for the dye. I think for my hair, dyeing it would cause maybe RM150-200?

So you see can see why I would need the time to save money before I actually go to the saloon.

But then one day I was randomly walking around Jusco after dinner with baby and my mum at Igentis and I came to Sasa and saw this :

P1150574

I forgot where I heard about this brand from, maybe Cheesie? But I searched her blog for the post about this and I can’t find it anywhere. D:

UPDATE! : Yeng told me that the blogger who blogged about this is actually Chuckei! :D

So anyway, the cool thing about this hair dye is that you just use it like shampoo!

I mean, instead of spreading it on your hair strand by strand, or like, bunch by bunch, you just kind of apply the foam to your hair like you normally do when you wash your hair in the shower! Open-mouthed smile

See the photos and you will understand what I am trying to say.

P1150575P1150576

Upon opening the box, I found these.

P1150578

Carefully reading the instructions.

The good thing about Japanese stuff is that their instructions and descriptions are goddamn efficient and accurate.

I mean, if you have any pressing questions about that product, chances are you are going to find the answers in the instruction sheet/box.

For example, I was foaming my hair and suddenly I wondered if the foam did not stay on my hair, what would happen?

Would that affect the results?

As the manufacturer, I am sure you are just going to assume that the consumer would obediently foam the hair as said in the instructions and not bother about anything else right?

But that is not true!

You have to stand in the consumer’s point of view and see what kind of questions might arise!

And true enough, I searched the instruction sheet and found a line which said : A while after drying the foam may disappear but this would not affect results.

YES! Question answered! So then I wouldn’t try so hard or worry too much to get foam back on my hair right?

P1150580

Prepare mixture.

P1150581

Put on gloves!

P1150582

And baby sits there being cute but not helping. D:

P1150584

Squeeze the bottle.

P1150583

FOAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P1150588

Carefully apply onto hair. Like you are washing it with conditioner, make sure your hair is not tangled!

At this point I politely asked baby if he could help me apply foam to the back of my hair because I couldn’t for the life of me see the back of my head wtf and he obliged. Open-mouthed smile

He had to wrap his hands with plastic bags HAHAHAHAHA

P1150587

And he also took charge of the camera because I wanted to blog about it! Hehe!

P1150586

Almost there…

P1150590

DONE!!!

I know lah I look like alien but don’t care lah!!! This is the only (passably) decent photo I have with the foam all on top of my head!!!

So after all that I had to wait for 30 minutes before washing it all off.

And while we waited, we watched………………..

P1150593

THE BIG BANG THEORY!

Our whole universe was in a hot dense state, but nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started WAIT!

P1150595P1150594

We had ice-cream while we watched! Hehe. Must post photos of baby because he looks so CUTEEEEEEEEEE!!!

P1150600

After ice-cream, we sat watching BBT like this, him kissing my Tau Foo Fah hand lol

And fast forward to after I have washed my hair and applied the moisturiser…………………………….

P1150606

TA-DAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad right? Open-mouthed smile

P1150605

Without flash it looks much darker though. :c

P1150607

Still, I love the colour! But only the top part of my head is efficiently coloured, the bottom part is still quite black.

But I think it’s because the bottom part of my hair is actually the rebonded part and is therefore quite dry making it harder to absorb the colour?

Could be.

ANYWAY, how do I look?!

DSC00523

The moisturiser that came with the hair dye really makes my hair feel so much softer, I wonder if I can buy it from anywhere? Open-mouthed smile

DSC08016

My hair before.

DSC00524

My hair now.

I love it! And Liese costs RM33 by the way.

I really do think that I suit brown hair better. What do you guys think?

I know nobody can run from making mistakes.

But then sometimes I wonder if those mistakes we have allegedly made are considered “mistakes” by EVERY single person.

Because don’t most people have different opinions?

Sometimes when we are thrown in the face with issues or uproars that we find ridiculous, we tend to quietly give our own thoughts and opinions about those issues and start wondering why people are making such a big fuss about it.

But if I look at it from another person’s point of view, he might find that the issue we deem petty something he’s very passionate about, something that interferes with his beliefs and life’s principles. So is the fact that he is making such a big deal out of it really something “ridiculous”, or simply just misunderstood by others who don’t feel the same way?

I am not trying to bring up any recent arguments or more like, disagreements I had with one of my close friends. It is just that what happened between us the other day is a perfect example of what I am trying to explain in this blog post.

Over the years I have faced alot of problems with expressing my opinions, simply because we live in a community where all races blend together, and since even people of the same race have many disagreements and arguments, what more among those who come from different religious backgrounds?

Recently, one of my friends has surfaced an issue about a gay couple getting married. In their religion, it is considered wrong, shameful and certainly unacceptable at any level. If I was being truly analytical, I think most, if not all religions also have the same belief, and that is that gay marriage is considered a sin.

But what I’m trying to express here is not about whose religion is the better one, I’m just trying to prove that not everyone lives by religion.

In my point of view, I haven’t a religion that I really understand, or feel passionate about. And at 19 years old, I just don’t think that I have reached the point where I think I can commit to anything (whether a relationship or a religion) 100%. I am still making choices, feeling the waters, discovering new answers and new paths.

So why would I want to casually pick a religion that I don’t really believe in, just because it is the norm to do so?

In my life, I do not deny the existence of God, nor do I confirm it. Because it is my belief that we as humans are never going to be able to discover the truth of our creators.

And since I have no solid foundation to cast my beliefs in any religion, why should I do so?

I have the right to express my rights as a non-religious being, as do those who are tied to their religion. They are not wrong for fighting for their religion, but neither am I for wanting to fight for what I believe in.

I think that gay marriage is as simple as any other marriages between heterosexual couples. It is not that I am trying to appear open-minded, or modern, or smart, it is just that I couldn’t be bothered to determine what is right or wrong in something that will clearly post no harm to humanity.

If it was war, or issues which put lives at stake, then yes, I agree that those involved should be stopped. I can understand if people are condemning it.

But a MARRIAGE? A celebration of two perfectly normal human beings who love each other? Why trifle with such trivialities?

So why is everyone being so uptight about a marriage between two men? Aren’t there more pressing issues in the world that are causing much more harm? How about rape? Murder? War?

Why complain about a MARRIAGE?

I just can’t be bothered. Seriously, just leave them alone. Because people may have different priorities. Not everyone puts religion first in their lives. Not everyone has the same beliefs.

And even if I don’t put religion first, that doesn’t make my opinion or existence less significant than yours. I am not less smart than you. I just have a different mindset.

So please put aside or at least change your opinions about people who don’t take religions seriously as people who are beneath you. We are just DIFFERENT.

It is the same as how I view you as a person.

You have your beliefs, and so I have no rights no judge you or to condemn you. I understand where you come from.

All I’m asking is for you to tone down your condescending attitude with those who do not necessarily share the same beliefs as you.

I am not wrong, to you, I may be, but to me, I am not.

I don’t think you are wrong either.

So that brings back to my whole point about this blog post: What exactly IS wrong or right?

If you can’t prove it, then my idea is to just ignore it. Why fight an uncertain battle? Why waste your energy and time spreading animosity and hate? What good does that do you?

That’s why I don’t understand if we should ever express our views. We can never please everyone. Every move you make, you will step on someone’s tail.

When we don’t speak out, we are deemed unopinionated and passive and therefore are of no use to humanity.

But if we do speak out, we might offend some members and be deemed immature and loud-mouthed and are therefore of no use to humanity either.

You just can’t win!

You might say that if I really believe in something, I should be allowed to speak about it, just as you did with your gay marriage uproar.

But can you imagine if I posted anything about how your religion sometimes represses our rights as humans and that most of your members have asked those who are not from the same religion to GO TO HELL simply because we don’t share the same views/opinions/beliefs?

What would happen to me? I could be sent to jail!

And how about the fact that there are videos out there where your religion has claimed that other religions are ridiculous and untrue but NO ACTIONS have been taken against those idiots?

Can you imagine any other religion making the same video condemning YOUR religion? It would cause an UPROAR! And the news would be full of that issue and those people would be sent to JAIL almost instantaneously!

So is this a double standard?

Why are we so passionate about things that we see on the Internet? And not about those that happen in our OWN LIVES instead?

My suggestion is, if your opinion is not going to in any way make any differences to the situation, then just shut up and leave it alone.

Don’t spread the nonsense.

I voiced out my opinions the other day because I hoped to change your mind about what should be spread and what should not. And hopefully you would realise that there are some things that you don’t have to SHARE IN FACEBOOK.

I wanted to show you that not everyone shares the same beliefs and if you are tactful enough, you’d not post it EVERYWHERE.

And then maybe you can keep your opinions to yourself because you might offend those people around you.

Because you know what? I have gay friends. And they are GREAT PEOPLE.

And it hurts to see that you deem them to be beneath you.

So anyway, this post is not directed to anyone in particular. I just hope that those of you who read this would try and understand OTHERS who DON’T NECESSARILY SHARE THE SAME BELIEFS AS YOU and to please just respect them as normal human beings if they are not doing anything that may harm others.

Gay marriage : harms no one. Cyber-bullying : major injury. So think about it.

Not just gay couples or anything like that. Even me. I may not believe in your religion, but that doesn’t mean you can view me as someone who should be placed beneath you. Simple as that.

You guys out there, show some respect, leave things alone, just take care of your own lives. Leave everyone else’s ALONE.

And after this, I just can’t bothered. I’ll leave you ALONE, as you should do with others.

Just watched Ombak Rindu!

Years ago when I was still in Form2 or Form3 I have already read Ombak Rindu because Alaf 21 novels was all the craze back then.

Ombak_Rindu

It was a good book, portraying a young village girl who gets sold into a night club and then meets this rich bad boy who later falls in love with her and then soon, she falls for him too. You know those very cliched storylines?

It’s a moderately good read because the author uses very carefree words and sentences in her writing and also makes the effort to inject humour in the right places along the love storylines.

It is done in such a way -

Okay why am I using such formal sentences to review the book? I donno. Book reviews are usually very formal stuff no meh?

Whatever so review done because anything else said would be spoilers. Yes. The book is that simple.

Okay so I HAD this book okay. I BOUGHT this fucking book. But then I lent it to donno who and that donno who has not returned me my book even until now and so I am forced to conclude that I have lost it forever.

So when I discovered that Ombak Rindu was going to be made into a movie of course I got super excited and angry at the same time!!!

Because it is my habit to always try to finish reading a book right before I watch the movie adaptation of it because then I can critic the movie right on the spot when I watch it and appear superior to the rest of the crowd!!!

I did that with Harry Potter and it felt AWESOME.

But this time, I couldn’t do it!!! Because I had no book!

So when I watched the movie, my mind was totally blank! Like, seriously the only things I remotely remembered about the book was that Hariz and Izza were the main characters.

The rest I have zero idea. SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Okay so Maya Karin played Izza which I don’t find suitable because she just doesn’t have that soft, gentle, petite, quiet, introverted, demure kind of look Izza is supposed to have!

I mean, look at her!

Maya_Karin_Cool_Cute_02

She is too HOT to play Izza. Izza is not supposed to look HOT, she is supposed to look demure and nice.

Not HOT like that ok! Okay in the movie Maya Karin didn’t look so hot but STILL! She did not accurately portray Izza’s village-girl character and that’s such a shame!

But her acting was not bad though, I’d give her that.

And next on there is HARIZ. And in my honest opinion, they picked the perfect man to play him!

n63699651473_2140687_3552

AARON AZIZ!

He is SO HOT. LOOK AT HIM. I am sweating just looking at him.

And ok so there were parts where he didn’t quite play Hariz properly because Hariz was supposed to be arrogant and manly. At times Aaron Aziz was a tad bit too nice and even if he WAS being arrogant it looked kind of forced, and so that was not so good.

But the fact that he is SO HOT totally makes up for all mistakes in the movie. Open-mouthed smile And plus points too because Hariz IS supposed to look hot. Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile Open-mouthed smile

All in all, I feel that this movie was kind of draggy (2 hours) and then there weren’t really any parts that gutted me intensely, so I still think the book was much better (to my memory lah).

But I may be bias because I remember back then when everybody was all hyped up with Ombak Rindu, my actual favourite novel was Bicara Hati.

bicara-hati

Yup. This book is the BOMB.

I didn’t buy this book, but I can assure you that it is much, much better than Ombak Rindu!

Okay lah I guess it’s only my opinion since the general public seems to think that Ombak Rindu is much better.

But Bicara Hati was such a good read, I remember! Because in novels like this, the main female character will always be the demure, quiet girl who gets thrust into the scenario of a bad boy’s world but in Bicara Hati (this is to the best of my memory only lah, because trust me I also only remember tiny bits of this story) the main female character is a bad-ass strong-willed chick who doesn’t tolerate getting pushed around!

I don’t remember her name in the story though (you can go Google it) but I really preferred this book over Ombak Rindu back then.

I think the reason I love this novel so much is because there is one part of the story that has been permanently embedded in my brain which I can’t get rid of. And I can’t tell you here or not I would spoil the book for you!

It is an awesome read for those who want to try! If I ever see it anywhere again, I would totally buy it! Open-mouthed smile

Sadly, like the cash in my bank, the books seem to have vaporised into thin air, never to be seen again. Sad smile

Okay time for random photos!

mug

MUG CAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently learned a recipe from the internet to bake cakes using the microwave oven for only 1 – 2 minutes max!

Yes, you read that right, MICROWAVE oven for 1 – 2 MINUTES MAX!

It’s AWESOME!

Simply add :

1/4 cup self-raising flour
1/5 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoon cocoa powder (chocolate)/1 teaspoon vanilla extract (vanilla)
2 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon (any) vege oil
1 - 1 and a half minute in microwave oven

DONE! It’s so easy and tastes quite good too!

P1150461

Just look at that chocolatey goodness!

(Okay so, eventhough that photo of my mug cake looks fantabulously appetising, I still feel compelled to confess the truth that that particular mug cake tasted like SHIT. And the reason for that is while I was busy stirring the batter, I discovered that it was a little short of sugar so I proceeded to add about half a teaspoon of sugar into it.)

(Baked the thing in the microwave oven for a minute and it came out looking glorious like that in the photo. But after tasting it I almost died because to my horror it tasted FUCKING salty and immediately made me realise that I had mistakenly added SALT and not SUGAR into the batter just now.)

(FUCK MY LIFE. And that was a GOOD BATCH TOO. What a waste of cocoa powder (expensive ok!) and egg (because in my household we are always short of eggs wtf). Sad smile \

(Okay story ends.)

(But the other cakes I made was good so don’t worry!)

P1150399

(My girly table!)

P1150397

(Bored one day and missed Sailoormoon so I decided to draw all 5 of them! Open-mouthed smile)

(Why am I still typing in brackets?)

??????

Ok whatever that’s all for today BYE!

I just finished all the writing papers!

First day of my holidays (for 2 weeks, my last two objective STPM papers resume then) and my mum has started asking me to cook dinner! ><

Lucky for me I love cooking!

But not so lucky for her because I HATE washing up. So don’t expect I’d be cooking alot of the time lol only occasionally!

Interesting story for the day:

1. Mum asks to cook cabbage.

2. Chops awesome cabbage into perfect chunks.

3. Chops garlic into perfect cubes.

4. Chops cili padi in perfect bits.

5. Prepares prawns in perfect bowl.

6. Heats oil up in perfect pan.

7. Sautees ingredients in perfect consistency.

8. Time to season food.

9. Holds cup of salt above pan.

10. Taps in good amount.

11. Prepares to replace cup of salt on shelf.

12. CUP OF SALT SLIPS OFF HAND.

13. CACTHES CUP OF SALT BEFORE IT HITS PAN.

14. CRIES because discovers staggering amount on salt on top of perfectly cooked cabbage.

FML.

WHY AM I SO CARELESS CURSE YOU STUPID SLIPPERY CUP OF SALT.

So I scooped off the salt using a spoon, and then added like a gallon of water to kind of soak the cabbages off the salt and then I strained off the water.

STILL SALTY FML. So I repeated this process for like 3 times and then added a little sugar to change the saltiness into a better tasting sauce.

Added water. Done.

I placed all the cabbages onto a plate WITHOUT any of the sauce and thankfully, they still taste passable with a hint of salt at the back of your tongue. Urgh.

Hopefully mum doesn’t realise! ><

Ok story done.
